Using a Chi and iPhone charger in Cuba?
I'm from Canada and am going to Cuba next weekend. I went to buy an adapter in store the other day and they said Cuban outlets should work fine with North American items.
On my resort website it says the "voltage is 240 (adapter required)." So I'm guessing that means I do indeed need an adapter but then I'm also reading conflicting things.
I will only want to use my Chi hair straightener which says 300V on the cord and my iPhone 3 GS which says Input: 100-240V on the charger cord. Do you know if either/both will require an adapter to work in Cuba?
Even though your equipment is rated for 240, I suggest getting an adaptor. The receptacle for the plug will probably be a round pronged receptacle. Most of my electronics will work on 110/240 but due to the cost of my gear, I play it safe and use an adaptor ( voltage converter ). The bathroom of some of the resorts will have a plug in that is 110 with a standard receptacle.
