Using an international SIM card for an iPhone?
I'm studying abroad in the fall for almost 4 months and will be putting my phone to "sleep" at a cost of $10 a month here In the states. I want to buy an international SIM card for when I arrive in Italy so that I don't have to put a new phone in Italy. Does anyone know the cost and what is included in buying an international SIM card. The fee in mins, where can I call, texts, Internet, can I still use Wi-Fi? Serious answers only.

Anyway to answer your question I travelled to Italy (Trieste) for a Summer School for 15 days (just 1 week ago) and I made some research for international SIM cards to find the cheapest one. Of course you can still use Wi-Fi, why not? Download whatsapp and rebtel and tell your friends to do the same in order to contact them for free using Wi-Fi. But I should warn you, that VOIP services are usually unstable and bad quality.
- Using an old iPhone with international sim? I'm going to be studying abroad in Ireland from January through May of this year. I just got a new iphone 8 last week and I still have my old iphone 6. I was planning on keeping my iphone 6 so I can use an international sim to get phone calls, data, etc. Since I've already activated my new phone and taken my old phone off the account, will I need to call verizon and have them unlock my old one(iphone 6)?
- Traveling to the Dominican Republic. International SIM card I will be traveling to the DR in March. I currently have an unlocked iPhone 7 that was purchased from the Apple store. I use a Straight Talk SIM card for service. I would like to used my phone while traveling but don't know how to use a international SIM card or which one will work best. Any suggestions?
- International SIM card for iPhone 5? I know my network would still work when I'm out of the country, but because I'm traveling to London next month, would I purchase an international sim over there to avoid extra charges? If so where would I purchase one and do they install it into my iPhone 5? I have tmobile by the way.
- International orange sim card? I'm leaving the US To visit my family in Europe in two weeks and my moms friend told me to get the sim card out of my iPhone and put an Orange sim card in? I'm guessing its a prepaid sim card that ill be able to use over seas? I checked the website but it just confused me even more. Does anyone know anything about these Orange sim cards? Price also?
