Traveling to the Dominican Republic. International SIM card
I will be traveling to the DR in March. I currently have an unlocked iPhone 7 that was purchased from the Apple store. I use a Straight Talk SIM card for service. I would like to used my phone while traveling but don't know how to use a international SIM card or which one will work best. Any suggestions?
Just go into a phone shop once you arrive and buy a SIM card for your phone. They'll give you your new phone number and will likely even show you how to install it. Save your old SIM card for when you return to the US.

If not, My iphone is still under contract, if I get my phone unlocked, then buy a SIM card, would that also be a problem?
