Using my iPhone in Scotland?
I'm from the US and I'm visiting family over in Scotkand for about 2 weeks. I've heard that using your smartphone internationally is very expensive. Would it cost a lot to text or call friends back home? Does getting Wi-Fi there make it any better? I plan on texting with iMessage, posting on Instagram and sending Snapchats to friends back home in the US. Would that cost a lot to do? I'm not really familiar with using my iPhone internationally. Can someone please explain how this all works and answer my questions?
Yes it is rather expensive if you're using your data plan, if you connect to a Wi-Fi source then it won't cost you anything (unless they're charging for Wi-Fi access)
If you know that you will be using iMessage and not normal text messaging, then it is best to disable the text messaging within in the settings, just in case it tries to send as a text.
The only way that makes sense is to unlock your phone and buy a SIM card when you get to Scotland.

- How to transfer pictures on iphone 4 to iphone 5 without using itunes? I'm getting my moms old iphone 4 because mine broke. She told me i can't sync it to my laptop until i find a way to transfer all of the pictures on her old phone to her new one and we can't do it through itunes because the laptop which the old iphone was synced on is broken. Any Ideas? Around 3000 photos so any uploading is not an option.lol
