Using Wi-Fi on iphone's (vodafone)?

I have got a new iphone and I'm on a contract with 500mb of internet, I'm with vodafone and I was wondering wether using the internet while connected to Wi-Fi (my home Wi-Fi not a hotspot) instead of mobile data uses up my data allowance?

No it does not they are different date connections. Just make sure you are on your Wi-Fi

Nope not at all, any Wi-Fi connection (even hotspots) don't effect your data allowance, you usually have to pay extra to use hotspots but it shouldn't be a part of your allowance. Only the usage of anywhere browsing such as 3G will effect you data allowance. Just make sure you are actually connected to Wi-Fi if you are cautious of your allowance I always make this mistake as IPhone's tend to lose connection now and again.

Hope this helps

No. Wi-Fi is not part of the data plan

  • Will my iphone 4s work with a verizon vodafone prepaid sim card? I have a Droid on a prepaid plan with Verizon vodafone. Everything is unlimited. If I cut out the sim and put it in the iPhone will it work?
  • Will a vodafone uk locked iphone 4s work properly in india? Buying a cell from a friend. Its an iphone 4s. But its vodafone uk locked. Can i unlock it here in goa? And will it work properly without any problems?
  • Why did vodafone charge my iphone viber calls? I'm using my iphone 3 given to me by my sister in HK. I insert a contract vodafone sim card in this phone and everything works ok, except for the viber calls. Vodafone charged me about £50 for a 45-min call recently. They insisted that it was an international call and not a viber call! Now I dare not use the viber apps anymore. I don't know if the phone had been locked in HK but I didn't have to unlock it in order to use my vodafone sim card with it.
