Verizon Bill? Adding on a iphone?

So i been trying to save up for an iphone because my parents won't buy me one. I managed to already save up $150 and then i'm also going to sell my ipod touch on ebay for another $100 which it is in good conidtion an all.

So right now I have a basic phone which has 1500 txt message a month ( i know old school right)
I wanted to try and figure out in the manner of two years for the contact how much would each month be for the bill for me personally. No I do not have a job but I been saving up money and I give all this money I save up to my parents. If I still go on there plan which will most likely happen I already have a line but will my cost be like $30 a month plus the phone? If anyone can calucate this because I been really confused and I just want to figure this out As soon as possible.

Well It would cost you this. You would be on the family shared plan. Verizon charges $40 a month for smartphones (android or iphones) and $30 each month for basic phones.

So lets say you have a total of three lines (your parents and you). Then you would have to choose your data plan that you want each month to be shared for all 3 lines.

4GB = $70
6GB = $80
8GB = $90
10GB = $100

Now the cost. Since all three lines are smartphones (android or iphones) = $40+$40+$40= $120
So lets say I want 4GB of data internet to be shared between three lines = $70

So when you add up the fees $120+$70 = $190.00 each month before taxes.

So three lines with unlimited talk and text with 4GB of data internet to be shared would cost each month $190.00 before taxes.

So since you use to have a basic phone the cost each month was $30. Now if you get the iphone or a smartphone you would be paying $40 each month, which is ten dollars more each month than what you were paying before.
