Wait - on the iPhone, they tell you when a person has read your message?
I don't own an iPhone, never had, might get one in a couple of days… But I was on instagram, and this girl posted a convo with her and her boyfriend, and underneath her message it said "Read 10:15 PM"
So I was just wondering.
Its called imessage. The thing is that it only works between ipod or iphone to eachother. It also tells you when they are typing back.
Yes, iMessage lets you know when someone has read your message and vise versa however you can turn that option off in settings.
It does not mean they read it. If they have a chat open and set their phone down, and the phone is not locked, the next message will pop up and claim it has been read.
- Will my iPhone tell the person I read his text? I got a text and read it and remembered that my read receipts were off so I know it'd still say delivered on his phone. After I read the text, I went to go turn on my read receipts. Will it change right away from delivered to read even though I changed the settings after or will it still say delivered for him since I read it before I changed it?
- On the iPhone 4 does it say message read once a person reads your message? You know how it's like "message received at " and then whenever on the iPhone well on the iphone 4 does it say when and if the person read and received the message?
- Is there anyway to tell if someone has read your message or not? I have an IPhone 4S… Sometimes I get "read at 4:30" or something and sometimes it just says delivered… Is there a difference? And can I make so I always know when someone reads it?
- Is there anyway to see when someone has read your text message on an iPhone 5? I have an iPhone 5 and whenever my boyfriend texts me he knows when I've read it or not (that's a whole nother issue… ) and I wanted to know if I could know when someone saw/read a text I sent to them, like he has. How come other phones can do this? Isn't that a privacy issue?
