Want to contact original owner of iPhone?
I bought an iPhone 7 secondhand from someone and didn't turn off find my iPhone so now I'm stuck on activation lock. Is there any way I can contact them using the IMEI number?
You either need to take it back to the store or pay to get it unlocked
You most likely got scammed. Not much you can do about it.
Ir you can take it to an Apple store and get it wiped clean and start over.
No. The only way to remove the Activation Lock is to call Apple and provide the original Proof of Purchase. When someone has the FMIP on, they claim ownership. Only an original Sales Receipt can re-claim ownership.
Can't you contact the using the same means you did to organise the purchase in the 1st place?
Also, more than likely you got scammed. The person likely sold the phone knowing that would be an issue. Probably was a lost or stolen iPhone sold quickly to make $.
- Locked Out Of iPhone 4? Can't Contact Previous Owner? I recently got an iPhone online. I can't contact the owner and the phone is still linked to their Apple ID. So, I can't use it. I already tried recovery mode. Didn't completely erase the phone. Still need Apple ID from previous owner. Can anyone tell me how to COMPLETELY erase it so I won't need the Apple ID or a passcode? I would truly appreciate it!
