Water Damaged Iphone, White Screen but it still works?
Last night i was hanging out with some friends and i set my phone down near the grass. Sprinklers were on for about 10 minutes before i realized my phone was RIGHT NEXT TO THEM. I grab it and they all say to turn it off immediately. I can see i have new text messages and stuff so i try to turn it off, then my screen goes completely white.
I took it home and put it in a bowl of rice all night. Now the screen is still white, but voice command, music, etc. All works.
I really don't want to buy another phone, can anyone tell me how i could fix this? If not i guess i'll just have to buy a new one but i'd really like to find a solution to this if it is cheap and fixable.
Actually sounds like the LCD is bad on the screen which would need to be replaced. Not very expensive depending on the model of your phone. The iphone 5 can be close to $200 to repair where the 4 and 4s are much less, sometimes as little as $60!
Check your local business listings for repair shops (and there are plenty of them) and get a few quotes so you get the best price!
- Water damaged Iphone 4s only works when plugged in to charger? So, I have a water damaged iphone 4s that works perfectly fine, except for the fact that it only turns on when it is connected to a power outlet. The screen works fine when connected and I can access menus and videos and such, but when I unplug it, it immediately turns off. I already changed the battery from another iphone to this one, but it still does the same thing. Anyone know what to do?
- Spilled water on my iphone 4 the screen is completely black but everything else still works? I can answer phone calls and unlock my phone by memory of were everythings at. It recognizes touch and the sound works fine. It just the screen is black. If anyone has ever had this happened and fixed there's please tell me how i need to get this fixed as soon as possible
- IPhone 5C fell in water, shut off, but the indicators are still white? So, my phone fell in the water for about 2-3 seconds and I managed to pull it out while the screen was flickering off, I immediately put it in rice for about 36 hours, but it failed. We checked the water indicators and both were still white, do I have chance to take it to the apple store so they can replace it for free, or will they check inside aswell?
- IPhone 4s is water damaged.it makes noises as if on, but the screen won't work? Once it got water damaged the camera flash went on. After putting it in rice, we went to charge it. Now it will turn on and people can call. But the screen isn't on. If I replace the whole screen, will it work?
