Wet iphone 5s, touchscreen isn't working?
Ok so my iphone 5s got wet, I dried it but didn't turn it off immediately since it was working fine. After 15 minutes the touchscreen was acting weird so i turned it off. I left it in a bag of rice, the next day i turned it on and it turned on right but the touchscreen wasn't working it wouldn't let me turn it back off since the "slide to turn off" wasn't working. I managed to turn it off and left it in a bag of rice again. Will it still work if i leave it in longer, or is this permanent damage?
Put it in rice for about a week. It takes a while for all of the water to be absorbed. If after that it still doesn't work, then yes, the damage is most likely permanent and it's time to start looking for a new phone.
Turn it off immediately and put in rice as stated. The connectors are probably corroded and need to be cleaned. It's possible that the display needs to be replaced. We can diagnose these problems and repair them with good success. Don't throw it away. Hope is not lost. Give us a call. Myphoneisbroken.com
- Why will my iphone touchscreen work only sometimes? I've tried resetting it that didn't help.shut it off and turned it back on that didn't help either. I can slide it to unlock it but then i can't select any icons or do anything.sometimes it will work fine for a few minutes then it won't do anything. Is there anything else i can do without taking it to a repair shop or getting a new phone?
- Touchscreen on my iPhone 5s stopped working? I can't turn it off because i can't swipe the screen and i my home button doesn't work so i don't know how to factory reset it.
- Replaced battery in iPhone 5c and my touchscreen quit working? My battery tore up in my iPhone 5c so I replaced it, charged it up, and tried to access my phone. The "slide to unlock" wasn't responding when I tried to unlock the phone. I'm not sure what to do, please help and thank you.
- My iPhone 5s got wet but it still working. But the touch screen is a bit slow. Is it safe to use? I dropped my phone in water but pulled it out immediately. I powered it down, dried it off, and let it sit for 30 or so minutes. At first the screen was red but then turned on and everything works. The touch sometimes is unresponsive. Is it safe to use my phone? I'm letting it air dry by a window because rice can cause erosion… Should I use it?
