Wet iphone speaker problems?
I only got a few drops of water on my phone but it got on the mic and speaker. When this happened i immediately tried to suck the water out of the mic but i believe i made it worse. The speaker is awful quality now so about 10 mins later i put it in a large bag of brown rice. Will this work? And how long do i have to keep it in the bag?
You need to try Silica Gel Packets to dry out your phone. There was a good article on associatedcontent.com that explains how to dry a wet cell phone, iPods, or any electronics. You need to place your phone in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the phone and its components, something air drying will not do!
Just Google "Silica Gel Packets" and you will find several companies selling these products. There's also a web site called: http://www.SilicaGelPackets.co.uk that has them.
- Wet iphone problems, what to do? I just dropped my Iphone into ocean water and I immediately placed in rice. I know I shouldnt turn it on but I did. It turns on but I can't touch the screen at all. - Wet iPhone Camera Flash And Speaker issues? Last night I dropped my iPhone 4S into the toilet. I was lucky enough to save it by putting it in some rice. But now it does have a few problems I would like to try to fix. Firstly the sound from the speakers sound weird and wet like there's water in the speaker. Also the front camera on the phone has very cloudy quality and looks bad. Lastly the flash on the front of the phone for some reason is always on and always has light coming from it.
- Rice not helping wet iPhone? I had my iPhone3GS connected to a car charger, and it fell into the cooler full of water without me noticing. It could have been in there for at least 5-15min. I got home and put the phone into a bowl of rice. It had been flickering with light, but now there's no light): it won't turn on and I don't think the rice is helping. - Problems with my iPhone 4S speaker? Just recently I've found out that whenever I have my headphones plugged into my phone, you can't hear my voice. As in, during FaceTime if my headphones are plugged in, the other person can't hear me speak, and once I unplug them it works. Also in voice memos, if they're plugged in, you can't hear my voice at all. I just want to know how I can fix this!
