What are some exercises I can do with wrist problems?

I'm an 18 year old girl. I have ADHD and skin picking disorder, and some people have suggested that exercise might help curb the symptoms of both. Unfortunately, I have cysts in both wrists, making it so that I can only put minimal weight on them.

What are some at-home exercise routines I can do with my wrist problems? Push-ups, downward facing dog, etc. Are out of the question. I have access to some basic exercise equipment such as a yoga mat, light dumbbells (5lb), a light medicine ball (somewhere between 6-10lbs, don't remember), and a stationary bike.

Also, any ideas on how to stick with an exercise routine? Before I started having trouble with my wrists, I had some success with pre-planned exercise programs from an iPhone app. I had to stop using it as I can no longer complete many of the exercises.

Short version: I need to exercise but my wrists are shot. How can I come up with a routine and stick with it?

Jog, run, swim, bike. Doing it immediately when you wake up in the morning is the surest way to stick with it. The longer you wait throughout the day, the less likely you'll be to work out.

Several years ago, I went through a bad divorce and developed anxiety. Whenever I'd feel it coming up, I'd put my treadmill on the highest incline and run like the wind. It helped me a great deal.

Wow, put gloves on and go run

I had got them back when I was around your age, small ones maybe the size of a dime on the back of my wrist (I ended up breaking the cyst and it came back one more time then I did that again… Never really had an issue since). For wrists you can get those squeeze things that look like a donut but are rubber, squeeze until you can't squeeze it anymore then rest and repeat. Or get a wrist roller where you rollup the small weight with your arms out in front of you.

  • Where can I find a device worn on the wrist that vibrates and shows unlimited alarms/ reminders? It needs to be compatible with an iPhone but surely for just alarms and reminders, there will be something cheaper than an iPhone smart watch?!
  • Tell me some of your first world problems? Here's mine 1) my toliet paper holder in the bathroom broke 2) I filled up my IPhone memory ( no room for new pics) 3) my Amazon Prime membership expired
  • Some problems with my Otterbox case? Well, I recently got a Otterbox armor series, but it was defected. When I accidentally dropped it in water, because it's suppose to be waterproof all thee water went in. I sealed everything and followed all of the instruction. My IPhone broke and I contacted the company but they said they aren't responsible for the damage of my phone. Can I go to court in this type of situation?
  • Should my mechanical wrist watch be loosing time? I bought a very nice $5000 montblanc wristwatch a week ago and I've synced it almost perfectly to the iPhone watch and I've noticed that my wrist watch tends to run ahead about 50 seconds every day. Is this normal?
