What are some reviews on the LG Cosmo Touch?

I had this phone for a little over a year. The screen broke and some of the buttons on the keyboard broke and the camera didn't work as well. I got it replaced and it lasted 2 months before it broke again. It was about to break in half and the screen got stuck sideways. I'm trying to convince my parents to get me a Iphone but my father thinks that it would be a waist of money and I would just break it since I can't keep a phone for the full 2 years when really I think it's just because i've never had a nice phone. Please give me your opinions on this phone so I know it's not just operators error.

For one, it's can't get anything done like on the current phones we have. It's specs are shoty at most, and it's material is quit breakable. It screen is plastic, Where as the iPhone is Gorilla Glass(not Gorilla Glass 2) The software is slow and buggy, and can't generally do things anymore. May I also suggest waiting for the iPhone 5? But in my opinion, I think iPhone isn't so good. You should go for an Android. They are cheaper, and there specs are better. Although I hate this phone, I suggest a Galaxy S III. It's has better specs than the iPhone.
