What are the benefits of Andriod over IOS?

I've had an iPhone 4 for a while now and I've got to admit I'm really tempted to get the new Samsung Galaxy S4 what with all the tech specs as I find apple are very slow at keeping up to date with hardware and can't be bothered to improve their software.

Anyway what I want to know is what are the benefits of having an android operating system over the IOS operating system.

Does it provide anymore features?

Are there some features the android does not have but IOS does?

Can it be jail-broken?

What is the app store like?

What software is used on PC to sync or manage the phone?

Are there any major issues with Android?

I was an iOS too but shifted to Android… Now I can't change my android for anything.

2) extensive apps in the market (and off the market too)
3) Manipulation is sleek
4) updates are often.
5) the list is endless… 6… 7… 8… 9…

I'm using the S III.

The main benefits are that there are fewer restrictions- with Android, there's more customization.
There aren't many features of iOS that Google hasn't compensated for. The app store is very expansive, and you don't have more than one app for media- the Play store is like iTunes and the App store combined.
If you run Windows, managing is just like a usb flash drive. I believe it is the same case on Macs, but I'm not sure.
I use an S3 about half of the time, and from my experience it's a lot faster than anything running iOS.
As for jailbreaking, please be careful. It's hard to totally brick an android device when you root it, but if you screw up it will be hard to recover. Follow explicit directions and only use roms that seem trustworthy and report no bugs- and always back up your device before you flash something in!

Before you decide on the S3 you should compare some of the other top Android phones, like the Google Nexus, etc- I switched back to my Blackberry because the S3 was too big for me. If you're happy with the size of your iPhone, take size into consideration.
