Yes, I think you can get both Candy Crush & Temple Run on the 3gs. They just won't look as pretty as if you were playing them on, say, an iPhone 4 or 5.
Other fun games available on the 3gs include Dash Dash Pengy, Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds, and Cut the Rope.

Just look at an Iphone. The ios version of Grand Theft Auto 3 looks better than the PS2 version. And its not even a console! Its a phone!
