What are the pros and cons of an sd card slot?

I have a decision between the htc one, galaxy s4, or iphone 5. Which do you think i should get. Btw I heard the htc doesn't have a card slot. Is that good thing or a bad thing?

The One has 32 GB of internal memory. Internal is faster than a memory card. So 32 GB of internal is faster than a 16 GB internal with a 16 GB card. But most phones support up to a 32 or even 64 card. But 32 is quite a bit of storage in the first place.

Don't let me throw you off though. The GB is storage space. I was just mentioning the speed is all. The card adds storage space.

Smartphones have become mp3 players for people who don't have iPods. In short, if you load up your phones with tons of music, take lots of pictures and videos, and hoard apps, you'll want a phone with an SD card slot.

The only real con of the card slot is storing things like pictures and documents there. Say you take a selfie nudie pic and it saves to your card. Let's even say you don't send it to anyone. If someone has access to your phone and knows they can't steal it, they can still steal the SD card. Even if they have it for a few minutes, they can copy everything to their phone, put it back, and you'll never be the wiser. Then you've got pics on the internet which will never come off and other potentially sensitive information in someone else's hands.

I would say go for the Galaxy S4. Other than it's really nice features and 13 Mpix camera (cheaper price too), having the expandable memory does help a lot. 16 GBs is already a lot to start with unless you're gonna stack your phone with many, many things. What's nice about the MicroSD card, actually, is that it's more personal and so it's easier to switch it if you change your phone so you don't have to worry about any backup/restore using a laptop or what not.

That way means you can use the internal storage for apps and contacts etc, and keep your MicroSd for songs and other media.

  • What are the pros and cons of a sprint and tmobile merge? Will my coverage speeds change? Will my Tmobile iPhone 5c be technically be running off of sprints network? Sprint is just downright terrible. I don't want to be paying a cent for service I can't use. Please tell me this isn't the case. TMobile uses HSPA+ network, and sprint uses CDMA. Those technologies are 2 totally different technologies, therefore probably rendering them incompatible.
  • Should I Buy the iPhone 5 from Apple or Verizon? (Pros and Cons Please.)? My wireless phone service is on a business plan and only the business owner is our Verizon Account Manager, so I do not have rights to access my Verizon account. I have had my Blackberry Storm2 for over 3 years and I'm wondering if it is better for me to wait and see if Verizon will offer the 64GB iPhone 5 at a discounted price for me or if Apple will offer the iPhone 5 at the same exact price as Verizon including the ability to sync with my Verizon business account?
  • Pros And Cons On Using Iphone 4s On Tmobile? Well I'm Goinq To Unlock My Iphone And Connect It With T-Mobile And My Brother Told Me That ICant Receive And Send Pictures And IWant To Know If Thats True. Also What Are Downsides Similar To Those That IHas. Iphone 4s IOS 6
  • Pros and cons on iphones and androids? Which is better in your opinion? Please don't just put a one-word answer, I need legitimate reasons why one is better than the other. OR why it's a draw, and describe their equal advantages and setbacks. My friend asked me why I didn't have an Iphone and I said that iphones aren't unique enough for me; there's no originality since lots of people have them. Correct me if I'm wrong, or support me, which ever supports your opinion as well.
