What are the tax implications of relocating a C Corporation to a different state?
We're considering creating a New York C Corporation (where we live) for our startup, an iPhone application. At this time, we will have just one investor, who is one of our relatives.
We do not plan on being profitable or generating revenue at first, and once we anticipate becoming profitable and/or an acquisition was potentially nearing, we would relocate to a more tax-friendly state first, such as Nevada.
Since we would be dissolving our New York corporation, would we be responsible for any taxes there, either at the time of the relocation or at some point in the future?
Moving a company from one state to another doesn't require dissolving the company. You may want to look at forming your corporation in DE, where you will not have to pay taxes, period.
- Texting someone in another state? I have AT&T and an iPhone with unlimited texting. If I text a friend who's gone down south for vacation (but still in the US) will it charge me extra or pop up on my bill or anything or will it be like any other text and not show up on the bill?
- Is the turbo tax tax caster app accurate? I downloaded the turbo tax, tax caster app for my iPhone. I earned 15k this year, and I'm claiming one child this year (I didn't claim a child last year). When I plugged in my info and hit calculate, it told me my refund would be 7k. Could this be accurate? I've heard of a earned income credit but this seems like a lot more than I expected. Is this app accurate?
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- Is it possible to get an IPhone in a different state from where you live? I've been using t-mobile, but they don't offer the IPhone so I'm changing plans as soon as my contract is up. The issue is I'm going to be out of state the day it ends. Will it be a problem to get it out of town?
