What can i do with my reported stolen iphone 4 (CDMA) model?

Okay so, the other day i fought a iphone on the ground so i took it. I knew my father needed a phone so i waited a couple of days to tell him i fought a phone for him. So we go to sprint and they tell us its reported stolen we can't connected! So i'm wondering what to do with the phone. Can i switch company's? How do i unlock a CMDA iphone 4 thats is reported stolen? Can i do ANYTHING with the phone? I want to try to sell the phone but its reported stolen so the buyer can't connect it just like me! What should i do?

Return it! I mean if you lost your phone you would want someone to return it instead of sell it on. Be a good samaritan

Not a lot. Best thing to do is to return it. Take it to Sprint and ask them to return it to it's owner.

You should turn it in to sprint or whoever so they can return it to the rightful owner.lucky they didn't call the cops on you.

You could sell it (could be very risky)
Or
Hand it in to the police (the best thing to do)

Unfortuanly, there isn't a way to change the status of an iphone. (You can't change the stolen report on the phone)

No, once a phone is reported lost or stolen (by a thief?) it is BLACKLISTED it is blacklisted forever. You can't used it on any carrier, unlocking lets you change carriers on a gsm phone NOT a cdma, it also doesn't change the fact the mobile phone is blacklisted.

You could return the phone, right. So you have a phone that is NOT yours, has been reported stolen, doesn't that make you a thief?
