What can i say to apple for them to give me a new iPhone?

I bought a used iPhone on T-Mobile off eBay, it has scratches too. I want a brand new unlocked iPhone that has NO scratches. What can i say for them to give me a new one the iPhone is still under the apple warranty. However there's nothing wrong with the hardware so can I lie to them and say that there's something up with it, if so what can I say and how will they know if I'm telling the truth or not?

Honesty is the best policy

Tell them when your on the phone the reception cuts out alot… The phone resets by itself and takes time to turn back on… And sometimes it freezes…

They are not idiots and they check every phone before replacement, if nothing found they simply put the latest firmware on it and return it to you. You say it is under warranty, so presumably you have the "original" receipt when purchased new as they also check that.

Scratches won't gonna work for warranty, Bruh… Whao! Don't lie to them coz they'll catch you for sure… They can know everything about your set… You know it's an iphone so don't do it… They are very clever…

Last summer I took my iphone 4s into the apple store in meadowhall ' told them I reckon the paint they use on their white Iphone must be of low quality as it was wearing away at the top of the phone ' after some humming and long decision making ' they said it looked like general wear and tear ' I said id always looked after it and after just six months of having it in my pocket paint wearing off it. '

In the end the apple store staff member said he'd swap my Iphone for a new one in good gesture ' so worth a try mate ;-)

I just told them my telephone number and my network for ID reasons ( my phone wasn't second hand though)

No one is just going to hand you a new phone. They aren't stupid.

Really who cares if it has scratches? I'd much rather have scratches as long as the case doesn't break.
