What carrier is my iphone locked to? - 1

I have an iphone and i need to unlock it from it's original carrier, it shows carrier: virgin 14.0

I contacted virgin and they said they could not find the IMEI in the database. Contacted verizon and said the same, but they said it could be AT&T, contacted AT&T, they refused to unlock it without saying if it's locked to them or not.

So my question is simple, what carrier is my iphone locked to?

I mean what carrier shows: virgin 14.0 other than virgin itself? Is there a possibility that my phone is locked to sprint or AT&T? I need to know what carrier my phone is locked to, to contact the right carrier about the issue

Virgin uses the Sprint network so it could be locked to Sprint.

See the telephone's software, it should have some applications from the carrier. Maybe the serial number or the model change acording with carrier

What carrier did you originally use it on?

Or is this an iPhone you found and decided is finder's keepers?

  • IPhone 5 locked sprint carrier? So I was at work and some idiot punched in a number on my phone and now it says it's locked for 15 mins then I tried unlocking it and said 60 mins? Please help! Is there like another number to punch in to unlock it or something?

I have two iPhones here, an iPhone 4 7.0.2 and an iPhone 4S 6.1.3 both are not jailbroken and recently i switched the contents of the phone and switched sim cards as well. Both sim cards are from the same carrier and both are being payed monthly (post-paid) when I switched sims, the sim i used on my 4s is locked on my iphone 4, but the sim on my iphone 4 is okay with the 4S. Again, they are of the same carrier. How do I fix this without jailbreaking?

If I bought one of these sim cards and a used iphone 5 from another carrier would it work with my carrier?

Alright so I go through the factory settings such as language & Wi-Fi then I come across this message that says that the phone is locked with the carrier. (ATT&T) Should I take it to the carrier?
