What do I need to produce dub step?
What kind of hardware, and software do I need? I have an hp pavilion with 2gb of ram, it runs on windows 7. I heard that apple products are really good, so I might as well include that I have an iPhone but I doubt it will be useful, my mom also has a MacBook Pro but I doubt she'll let me use it. Anyways what kind of software and hardware do I need? Nothing to expensive, 200$ hopefully at the very most but the very highest I can go is 300$
No! Apple products are useless due to all sorts of compatibility issues. Many 3rd patty plug-ins (VSTs) don't actually run on Apple!
What you'll need:
A DAW: Fl Studio (most used), Ableton, Cubase, Reason, Logic
Some VST plug-ins: Nexus 2 (a must), Sylenth, Z3ta, Kontakt, Omnisphere, Massive, Albino etc
A knowledge of music theory or be able to play the keyboard
