What does a grey Wi-Fi icon indicate?
Grey Wi-Fi symbol (as in my phone, a Samsung one) means your device is connected to the Wi-Fi router but there's no Web connectivity yet.
In what sense?
It doesn't necessarily mean you're not connected to the Wi-Fi…
It may just be the colour of the symbol…
My mac has a grey symbol, and always has done. I'm assuming you're used to windows (or the iPhone) and used to seeing the white or green symbols.
It's not connected to Wi-Fi.
