What does it mean when an imessage is sent as a text?
My boyfriend and his mother got into a huge argument last night, he has an iPhone and we always send our texts through iMessage. This morning when I went to check on him they were sending as a text. I was just wondering what this means? I just want to make sure he's okay.
Its a glitch if you get him to go into contacts and under phone number instead of mobile or work ect make it iphone and it should fix it
IMessage will send as an SMS text if one or both parties do not have iMessage capabilities. IMessage requires an internet connection while SMS requires a cell connection. IMessage can use cell connection but consumes data so automatically reverts to SMS.

So I sent a text to my cousin who is in basic training now in Missouri, we both have iPhones so usually me and her text on iMessage with the blue messages but this time it says "sent as a text message"in green, Did she get my message? So, i've been using a iphone 5 for a month and i just realized that when i'm using sms, usually my texts send as "green balloons" but sometimes the color turns "blue"and says "sent as a text message" i'm confused lil bit:/ what does "sent as a text message" mean? And what's the difference between blue and green texts. Will it send to different message box or shows different to who i text? sorry for not my native english.
