What does it mean when it says firmware not compatible for iPhone 4?

I tried download the iOS 7 but when I tried to update my phone, it says "firmware not compatible." Does anyone know how to fix that?

Some of the iOS 7 features aren't compatible with the iPhone 4 (as of Beta 3 release) therefore at this time I reckon it's not wholly compatible with the device.

It means you got the wrong firmware file. You need to get the exact one for your specific model. Also, make sure your device's UDID is registered on a site like http://www.instantudid.com/, or you'll run into problems activating. I made that mistake the first time, but it's $5 and then I didn't have any activation issues.

  • What does it mean when a text says Not delivered to a iPhone? This guy I work with and I been texting each other since July 5. I'm trying to text him through my iPod touch and the text keeps saying not delivered but when I text him from my Samsung illusion (android) cell phone it gets delivered. Did he block me from sending him texts from my iPod touch? Btw he likes me because I talked to him on Sunday, August 10.

  • What does iphone mean when it says 879 MB sent and 4.6 GB received? I've just purchased a new iPhone and I'm still a bit new to understanding a couple terms. Anyway, I've read that to calculate data you have to add the two (sent and received) but is it still the same for when one is in MB and the other is in GB? Please help as I would like to make sure I haven't exceeded my total data usage.
