What does No Caller ID mean on an iPhone?

Last night about 12:30am I got a phone call from a number listed as "No Caller ID". I answered without thinking and it was obviously a prank call because they proceeded to say sexually explicit things to me and call me a name before I just hung up. What's freaking me out now is they knew my name. Usually I'd just brush it off to it being one of my friends or someone who has my number/got my number from someone I know, but what's throwing me off is usually calls where the person is intentionally hiding their number come through as "Blocked" but this didn't. So yeah basically I'm just wondering what "No Caller ID" means and if I can in any way find out their number.

It means the phone number has no name associated with it.

On other phones such numbers would show up as having "none" or " " as the name. Instead the iPhone handles these by saying "No caller ID."

Regardless, the phone number is recorded by your phone provider. Call customer support and talk to them. However I'm guessing the prank caller used some fake proxy to forward his phone call so his true identity wasn't revealed.

There are apps and one line services, that allow you to have caller ID show ANYTHING you want it to, instead of Blocked, Private, Unknown or even a number. They can even have the Caller ID show your number as the number that is calling you. So it can still be a "Friend" or friend of a friend, or someone that knows enough about you to find your phone number, either in a post that you made public in the past, or one of your social networking accounts that changed settings, that allowed people to see info that was supposed to be private (as Facebook has had happen several times over the years).

It means the person blocked their number so people won't know their digital

It was the illuminati, NEVER answer any "no caller id calls" they will plant evil thoughts in your
