What does this sound like? What do you guys think?

So I didn't talk to the guy that I've been talking to at all yesterday, then he texted me around 4 am telling me that he knew that I was probably sleeping but he missed me and he sent a bunch of kissy faces and he told me to text back when I wake up. I texted him something really sweet back and that was around 8 am. And I didn't hear anything back from him all day! Then he texted me around 12 am this morning, saying that he was sorry for not texting me back all day, and that his phone has been flipping out and that he needs to hurry up and get the iPhone 6. Does this sound like a lie? He's a Capricorn and I heard that they just disappear at times or when you show them emotion sometimes they get scared. But why would he lie like that after texting something so sweet

Its usually very difficult for Capricorns to express their emotions so something like a sweet text might have startled him and sent him into deep thinking mode lol.
