Such as with an iphone or ipad. I'm getting a new ipad mini next week. Only using it on the Wi-Fi network. Would i be able to jailbreak it and if so can you get caught some kind of way because i know its illegal? Also what things can you do with it that you wouldnt have been able to do before?
Jailbreaking is to unlock the OS, to allow 3rd party software and modifications that apple doesn't allow
it is NOT illegal to jailbreak, but it is illegal to get apps that you have to pay for normally to download free.

- What exactly does the iPhone backup back up? I'm going to update my iPhone software (finally!) and I'm worried that all of my data won't be saved. For example, will I have all of my notes, picture folders, app data, emails, etc? I'm terrified that I'll lose my notes. I can email them to myself if need be and there's really no way to back it up, but I'd like to aboid that tedious process if possible.
