What happens if I used up my 500mb on my iPhone 5?

I just got a text that says I've used up my 500mb. I read that it changes to 2G. Is this a monthly thing or am I stuck with 2G forever? I have tmobile if that helps in any way.

Normally its just for that month that they change it because you went over, but I don't use your service

If you are paying for up to 2 Gb data, then you should be fine till then. Anything over that they will bill you per KB used. Which could be costly.

Remember if you download a lot of apps and videos you will use up your data fast. If you check your email a lot it may use up fast too. If you browse the web constantly it will use up fast. Best to monitor your data usage and use it sparingly. If you can get unlimited data plan you'd be better off.

Once the month is over, you will be able to restart again with 0 megabytes. But I think carriers charge by the megabyte once you go over, but they definitely won't go back to 2G service. They will just charge depending on how much you went over your limit.

After you use your 500MB, your internet service, gets throttled down, being only until next month. Then everything resets.

Assuming youre on the unlimited plan you have 2g until the next time you pay your bill

  • What happens if you buy a iPhone of eBay and it happens to be stolen? I typed in a serial number of an iPhone into apple checker and it said the phone has not been activated? The phone is still sealed in its box is the phone ok to buy?
  • Is 500mb of internet enough for the iPhone 4S and my level of usage? Am thinking of applying for a contract iPhone 4S, and my monthly allowance of mobile data will be 500mb, and I was wondering if the way I use data on my phone would be enough. I will mainly use it for: - iMessage - Snapchat/WhatsApp - Web-page browsing - Twitter - Facebook (occasionally)
  • Is 500mb of data enough for these apps on my iPhone? I pretty much just want enough to use kik, instagram, and twitter. A tmobile plan would give me 500mb a month but no overage charges so does that mean I can go up too 2, 000 mb a month without any charges? Ty
  • Is 500mb of data enough for the iPhone 4s? I'm looking at plans that I recently bought for my iPhone 4s and a plan that I like includes 500 mb of data. I know that data is for browsing on the internet, but how much is 500mb of data? Is it more than enough or too less? I'll most likely just be on YouTube, Facebook, email, and Google on my phone. Will it be enough?
