What happens to a minor who is charged with theft while on probation?
Someone stole my brand new 500$ iPhone at school on Wednesday, and I found out who it was today. The person is currently on probation, but my family will be pressing charges. Is there a possibility this person could be locked up? If not, what would his punishment be?

- Would the police get involved for an expensive stolen object by a minor? My mom bought me glasses($400). They are "real" and the lenses are made to fit my eye vision. I'm in middle school and a high school boy who has a reputation for stealing things (ipods, iphones etc) stole my glasses while he was hanging out with me. - Will scratches and minor dents void my iPhone 4's warranty? Yesterday I called apple because my lock screen button had been pushed in, I was told that as long as it hadn't been dropped, which it hadn't, that it should be replaced at the spot but I'd have to bring it into an apple store.
