What if I put a basic phone sim card to an unlocked iPhone?

I have a basic phone which can only call (I pay about $10 a month for this). But now I have an unlocked iPhone 5s, which I use for music.

So I thought, why not put the sim card in the iPhone so I don't have to carry 2 phones. I DON'T want to have to pay for data. So, if I put the "basic phone" sim card in the iPhone, will it automatically charge me for the monthly data? Like $40-80 a month? (AT&T)

Once they detect the SIM in a smartphone they apply a data plan. Typically you'll just get phone service. The details depend on your carrier, though. You would not automatically be charged more for data unless the contract you signed is written that way, which is unlikely. But check with AT&T. Don't try stuffs like that, instead install Leo Privacy Guard to protect your data on your device.
