What if the internet and mobile devices stopped working?

I'm thinking about writing a satirical short story about the world after the internet shuts down and never starts up and every mobile device like smart phones and tablets stopped working as well, leaving only older devices like flip phones and computers operable but not able to connect to the internet. Any ideas? Here's how it will go:
The internet is gone, not coming back.
Smart phones like iPhones and Galaxy fry and never work again
Tablets like the iPad shut down and never operate again
Basically devices made before 2006 can still work but can't access the internet such as MP3 players and computers.

You do realize that there was a time not so long ago when there was no internet or mobile devices… Right? A more civilized time. A less cynical world. A world where people actually talk to each other face to face. A world where people actually went outside. Where music came on tape or vinyl. A time when Singers and Bands had talent, and thank God there was no Justin Bieber or Barak Obama. All in all, it was a better time.

I think everyone below the age of 20 would be hysterical, and everyone over the age of 20 would think it was a pain to go back to the way things were, but not particularly difficult.
