What is a good TV/Interned provider in CANADA? Mobile?
So, i'm moving to Canada soon, i wanted to know:
For a single guy like me, what is a good, affordable TV/Internet or TV/Internet/Mobile?
How many $$$/mth?
I was thinking about getting a 299$ 64gb iphone 6 but what are the best carrier, and ow much monthly?
If you want all three services, then you can usually save money by getting them all from the same provider, since they offer discounts for "bundling" services together. The biggest is Bell Canada, which offers service to most of Canada from Winnipeg to Quebec. In the East you instead have BellAliant, in the West you have Telus, and in some rural areas there are other smaller phone companies. That would give you fiber or DSL Internet and fiber or satellite TV.
Most areas also have a cable provider, which could be Rogers (Ontario), Videotron (Quebec), Shaw (west), or a number of others depending on the region.
There are also some companies to look into that provide better deals on individual services, and are nationwide, for example TekSavvy for Internet, and Virgin Mobile for cellphone.
- What will be the custom duty on an mobile phone (Iphone) being bought from Canada? 1) I'm planing to buy a Iphone 5 from Canada, a friend of mine will purchase it and send me via courier or some means. I have a blackberry at the moment, and i want to get an iphone, i'm not eligible for an upgrade yet so i was planning on buying my friends iphone, but i hear virgin mobile is a cdma carrier at least in america, and my friends iphone has a sim card, so if i want an iphone do i have to buy it full price from VM?
