What is free activation?
I ordered an Iphone 7 plus online from Boost Mobile and its coming soon. It says that when it comes I need to activate it. And it says "Free Activation"? Do I get a free month of service because I bought a phone from them? What does it mean?
No. There's an "activation fee" usually $35-50. They're giving it to you "free".
It means they won't charge you to turn your phone on (some companies charge for this)
- Why does my iphone randomly say activation required? So the other day I was just using my iPhone 4 running IOS 6 beta and I had shut down my iPhone completely for about 2 hours and then when i turned it back on, it said "activation required and it wants me to connect to Wi-Fi to connect to apples activation servers. It will not let me get to my home screen and everytime I try to activate it it tells me to try again later. BTW, it also says no service at the top of my iPhone. And this has also happened to my iPad.

I was just making sure because I recently bought a iPhone from boost mobile for like $211 it said "free activation" but when I looked up reviews on YouTube they said how new users had to pay like $60 extra and they had gotten the same deal as me! I jail broke to use the iPhone as an iPod & i can't restore all of my music/apps/photos to it because iTunes still says " there's no sim card in the phone you are attempting to activate" how can i get itunes to recognize the phone as 'activated'? - Thanks in advance
