What is it with young folk these days?

I'm 21 & I find that all the kids & young people of this generation are so immature & annoying! They use sang words for everything! They say 'init'. What's "Init" supposed to mean? They also play these stupid games on the computer. I remember, when I was young, I read books & was interested in knowing more.

Kids these days have facebook & iphone. I didn't have an iphone at their age. They didn't even exist when I was young!

Also, young people love traash music like Gedward, Justin Bieber & One Direction. This music is complete Garbege! Why not listen to quality stuff like the Beatles & Elvis Presley? Or Beethoven & Mozart.

This generation is making me sick! I fear for what the next generation of youth will be like!

Also, kids love Garbege films like Transformers & Twilight… What the flip? Their are far better films out their like the Good the Bad & the Ugly & The Empire Strikes Back.

I really don't know. I'm a young folk and i don't say 'init', use facebook, or have ever heard of Gedward. And kids and teenagers don't listen to ~old~ quality music because that isn't what they hear on the radios. It's not 1966 anymore and we don't control the radio stations or make the music we hear. And if teenagers DID like listening to ~old~ quality music they would be seen as different. Yes, that's a real thing. Teenagers judge teenagers, and teenagers don't like to be judged. See how weird and awful that is?

Also, Twilight is also an old thing right? That should've been what YOUR generation liked when it was released in 2008. Teenagers like the Hunger Games and YA moves like the Fault in Our Stars, which was well received by critics (who are NOT teenagers).

That is funny coming from someone barely 6 years older than the generation you are complaining about. You just have a taste normally associated with a generation 40 years older than yourself. Don't get me wrong nothing wrong with that at all, we all tend to moan about the generation below us. They always seem to have a terrible taste in music and waste their time in pursuits we consider a waste of time. By the way 'init' in queens English ' isn't it '.

I don't think all young folks are that way.

Communication and writing skills are some of the most important skills in jobs today no matter what field you work in. Anyone that can't write clear sentences and speak or present clearly will end up looking stupid when they write emails on the job. Those are the people that will be on the bottom their whole life.

If I could give a kid advice today, I would make they understand how to write and learn alot when they take writing courses. Typing classes are also extremely important to help save time later in life.

Funny, coming from someone fresh out of childhood themself. Did someone just step out from under the veil that was over real life and get a reality shock? Seriously, you are practically still a child. Though I agree with some things you said, a lot of it is down to opinion. They don't like the same music or activities as you, so they just MUST be immature.
Don't act as if you're so mature and responsible when you, as I said, are still young.
However, sometime you're going to have to grow up for real and you'll realise that your tastes are not everyone's tastes.
Seriously, grow up.
