What is so special about the iphone 5?

I've always been content with having a normal phone that can take calls and text but what is with the hype with the new iphone 5 that can make people camp for one for weeks and spend £500-700. I know it's thinner and lighter but other new features does it make it different from the 4s?

Because its a new i product. People are just dumb. There are many phones better than iPhone.

It's abit bigger THATS about it

It is much improved of the 4s. Faster data speeds, Faster Processor, jeweler like build quality, better battery life than most other LTE phones that do not have Bricks as battery's. Overall it is still a phone.
Something about the Product and Company just inspire people (yes some people hate apple). Some people also line up for other products. I think some people just desire attention (some are actually advertising while in line)

  • My teenager wants an iphone 4s. Why is it so special? My 16 year old daughter has been begging me for an iphone for two years. She told me last night that she would save up the money to buy it herself, and that she would pay half of the monthly bill. What is so special about an iPhone 4s that makes her refuse to give up? What can it do that other phones can't?
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
  • Is it possible for me to get a 'special discount'? So I'm already 14 and I visit lots of places and people. So I'm trying to get a phone, probably the iphone 5 or iphone 4s or any phone.really. And will be enlisted in At&t's phone users (No other phone company). But I really want to know if I get my first phone from At&t, will I get it for free (probably not) or will I get like a discount?
