What is the base price of an iPhone 5?

What is the price of an iPhone 5 for using it mainly for its apps and Wi-Fi rather than for phone or text reasons? I want to buy an iPhone 5 for college, so I will basically be using the iPhone for stuff like checking my email, taking pictures, reading documents, and organizing my schedule. I will most likely not be using the iPhone for calling people or texting messages.So, I don't think I will be needing to buy things like contract, right? Thanks!

Dude you are a student so you use it much more so i suggest to you please buy 64GB iPhone. Because you can use many more app on the phone.

Unless you are going to use cellular data you don't need any iPhone. An iPod Touch can do apps and Wi-Fi.

Otherwise you have to buy an iPod and get a contract with it. You can't get cellular service without a contract and you can't get service any all for a smartphone without getting a data plan.

There are basic phones that come with calendars.
