What is the best prepaid service I can use for my iPhone 4?

I have an AT&T compatible iPhone 4 that I would like to start using again. I don't want to use AT&T because of the price, but I was looking for a good prepaid plan for it. I'm pretty sure straight talk will work if i buy a SIM card for it, but I have no idea how well their 3G works, and the website didn't say much. Any info about straight talk, or any other suggestions would be appreciated. I need something that has unlimited talk & text (or at least a lot of minutes if not unlimited), and a decent data plan (doesn't need to be unlimited, but I'd like something a little better than AT&T's bullshit 200MB plan). Straight talk is $45/month, so something in the $40-50 price range is acceptable. I currently have Boost Mobile with my droid, and it's terrible, and I don't think I can use the iPhone with it anyway. Please give me some good info/suggestions.

I'm wondering when I go to activate the phone and service how much would I have to pay upfront? I would need a sim card. Does the sim card come free? Would i pay the bill upfront? Or would I just pay the fee for the sim card and at the end of the month pay the bill?
