What is the best tablet for a incoming high school freshman?

My aunt is very proud of the fact that I was placed in honors in most of my classes, and decided that a tablet would be a good tool for me to use in my years as a high school student.

Now, at first I was thinking an iPad, because I've had a iPhone for a bit over a year now and it has helped me be a bit more productive socially. However, I don't think this would be the best fit for me as it won't meet my needs and expectations as a student.

I next thought about the Microsoft Surface Pro, which comes pre-installed with Windows 8 and all the programs I'll need.

I'm not really that much of a tech guy, as you can see, haha. Any suggestions on which tablet is good for optimizing organization and [better and/or quicker] completion of assignments would be greatly needed and appreciated.

Yeah just go with an ipad- more apps and the most ud do in high school is put textbooks in it

Yeah um instead of ipad, microsoft surface pro is really a good choice.

Although it is a big pricey, it has i5 processor / intel HD 4000 which can handle all the applications your school requires.

There's other windows 8 tablets from asus / samsung/ acer that are in $500 price range but they are single core (Very slow). So I don't recommend them haha. So if i were you, i would go with windows surface Pro

Hope my answer helped!

  • What laptop or desktop would you recommend to a college freshman? I have an hp laptop, an Asus transformer 300t tablet and iPhone 5… Any recommendations, I want to maybe upgrade my laptop to a different one with a more attractive look and better performance.
  • Tablet snapshots on the Tablet and iPhone? I'm not very tech-savvy guy, go please forgive me. But does a Samsung note 10.1-the 2013- snapshot consume more memory space than a iPhone 4 in general? Here are the dimensions(again I do not know what I'm doing) Tablet(Note) 10.1" widescreen 1280x800 WXGA TFT LCD 149 pixels per inch (ppi) iPhone 4 640 x 960 pixels, 3.5 inches (~330 ppi)
  • Should I buy a laptop or a tablet? How do pages display on a tablet? I have an iPhone 6s Plus. It almost seems redundant to buy a tablet, but they are more affordable than a laptop. I prefer the way web pages display on a laptop. I have never had a tablet, do they display pages more like a phone or a laptop?
