What is the best texting app on iOS?

So, I'm getting an iPhone 5s with 3gb of internet each month. I'm planning on using the internet to text using a texting app. Texting's too expensive and I want to save money. I'd like to have an app that can text to all other phones, including phones without the texting app. It also has to be fairly cheap too.
What do you suggest?

- What is the best video editing app on the App Store (iOS)? One thing I like about iMovie is the ability to slow down the speed and sound of videos and especially the sound effects. I tried to save a video on iMovie in portrait view but it turned out stupid in my Camera Roll. Right now I'm stuck with making videos with my iPhone and iMovie isn't all that. I need an app with what I said I like about iMovie^^ and more options such as text animations and filtering videos. Any app out there?
