What is the impact of ageing on education at the later stages of life?

What do people think about education at their later stages of life

i wanna know if ageing has any impact on human brain in context with their ability to learn.

Absolutely. Memory is sharper at 20 than at 30. And sharper at 30 than at 50. Students learn more when they have CONTEXT to the information learned, and often older students have considerably more context in some subjects. In others they have a lot more unlearning to do. I know how to code in Basic, Qbasic, AS400 and Unix. This knowledge actually makes learning updates on my iPhone that much harder. For young people computers are learning a new language like Spanish. For me, new computer stuff is like UNLEARNING Spanish! There are both advantages and disadvantages. Recall may become slower although the actual learning side for those who remain interested continues whatever the age.

Older students are far better equipped to support their learning in being able to research and relate to the information they are gathering. They can fit it into a mature and developed model of the world and draw on their experience for objective interpretation.

The downside of this is remaining flexible enough to adapt to an increasingly fast paced and changing community. I think as you get older, you care more about the thing you are interested in - unlike when you're young and someone is ordering you to learn it - that's one thing - the other is detail and appreciation. Like, you may learn that this many people were killed in this war, etc., but as you get older, you appreciate more what that must have really been like. And details. It all seems so much more real. In my experience too, it's a bit intimidating and tiresome to have to always learn how to do these new tech things - you know? The facking computer worked just fine last year why do we now have to learn a new version of this or that, and programming your TV is now the equivalent of a small rocket launch - it's silly - and aggravating. Let a thing alone if it works. We don't need refrigerators that can email us.

  • Which 3D printing material should I use for an impact resistant iPhone case? I hate Otterbox cases because they expose the area on the back where the Apple logo is. I will instead engrave the Apple logo into the case and paint it shiny silver after it was printed
  • What if your return has been accepted with the Education Credits? My return was accepted on Jan 25. I efiled with Turbo Tax on Jan 11. I did claim the American Opportunity Credit and the software used Form 8863. I'm very concerned and confused! Does this mean that my refund will be delayed because of this particular credit? Or is does "Accepted" mean it's good to go! The Turbo Tax Iphone app says to expect a refund before February 20 ( initially it said Feb 10… ). Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Otterbox Defender, Impact, or Commuter? I'm in need of an Otterbox for my iPhone 3gs. I don't know which to order… The Defender, the Impact, or the Commuter. What is your advice for the best one? Ordering online is hard since I can't hold them in my hand. My friend had the Defender whichi s pretty bulky, but I didn't know if the other two would give as good of protection. Thoughts?
