Yes it can be a hotspot. If you plan to travel then do not go with Verizon, and do not buy the phone in the USA. Phones are very limited in the USA by the carriers. You are far better off ordering a GSM iPhone (from outside the USA) and then getting the service though AT&T or T-Mobile.

AT&T offers a data only plan for about $20 a month.

  • Which Iphone bends the least (6 or 6 plus) bend the least? I was thinking of getting the 6 or 6 plus but I was wondering what bends the least? I do put my phone in my pocket sometime especially when I'm walking but sometime when I sit down it's in my pocket. Note: I will get a case but which one bends the least? Note: And I will put it in my front pocket for whatever pants/shorts I wear.
  • What is data in a Verizon data plan? I just got an iphone 5 and am having some trouble. I know that data includes email, accounts and any internet websites (facebook, youtube, netflix). Does it use up data to have multiple internet browsers open even though I only look at one at a time? Is it possible to use up data when the phone is off? Also, is taking a picture, playing app games, listening to music, and siri considered to be "data" on the data plan? Is there an overall explanation for what a data plan is?
