What is the virgin mobile super-tab? - 1
So I'm 13 and really want a phone, an iPhone 4 specifically. My parent are not keen on the idea of signing for me for a 3 year contract. So then I was browsing and saw an option for this supertab thing.
What is it?
How does it work?
How much would you have to pay monthly (like for texting etc)?
I make about 20-40 bucks a week for babysitting, would it be enough to pay if I got an pretty good plan?
If you're serious about wanting a phone, you should start off with something less then an iPhone 4 and show your parents you are capable of having a cell phone, besides in my personal opinion you're a bit young for a phone that costs that much.
They have some really good no contract phones, there's Straight Talk which I used for a very long time, they have really good plans and cheap phones http://www.straighttalk.com/ you can browse that if you want, they have an unlimited plan for $45 bucks so your parents probably wouldn't mind giving you a bit of extra money. They also have cheaper plans.
There's also Boost Mobile which is what I'm currently using and they have no contract smartphones as well, there phones are a bit expensive though, and they have cheap plans, there unlimited plan ranges from 50 to 55 bucks. So that's a bit more then you have.
For your first phone I would go with Straight Talk, it would show your parents you are responsible enough to handle a cell phone and if you don't break it or mess it up within a year or so, then you could talk to them about getting a contract. They need to know that they won't be wasting away there money.

- Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile? I'm moving to Houston this summer and I'm looking for a cheaper cell phone plan. I talk, text, email, fb etc. I had virgin mobile back in 2004 and I love it and had no problem. I have a android galaxy s3 right now which I love but the battery isn't so great. I'm thinking about possibly buying an iPhone. What I'm really looking for is reviews on virgin and boost mobile. If you have any other cheap cell phone plan carrier suggestions I'm up for that too.
