There are international sanctions on Iran. China violating them is just more evidence the PRC is run by bandits.
You probably can't grasp the concept of politics and economics becoming comingled but the US has sanctions on Iran and always appreciates our trading partners cooperation in those sort of matters.
The US broke the peace deal with Iran and has increased sanctions, but is forcing other countries to go along. Every country can make its own decisions about who to trade with, but apparently Canada is controlled by the US.
There's nothing illegal about China trading with Iran, but because the US is trying to destroy Iran's economy, Canada has arrested the head of that company and she may be extradited to the US.
This is really serious, because she was arrested in a third country, and US laws do not apply in China. The US has gone from trade war to diplomatic war, and there will be retaliation from China in the near future.
I can't believe the stupidity of the canadian government on this one.
Trump is upset with Iran doing everything it agreed to do and now wants them to suffer by not having phones.
