What is wrong with my router?
ISP cox
Router: dlink dlr 865L
Every device (two laptops, four iPhones, one desktop) can connect to the router. They all show a good signal strength. But there's no Internet. They all connect to the router but the Internet just isn't working. I've looked everywhere for a solution but the vast majority of solutions are for one device not being able to connect while others can. I've only tried restarting the router.
This problem started a few months after we got connected to the Internet. When it started it was maybe once every two weeks. Now its four times a week at least. It eventually fixes itself after several hours but then it just happens again.
You may have an issue with NAT… You'd should consider calling your ISP because, in some cases, the problem may not be on your end.
Also, if your router is near a cordless phone, a baby monitor, or a microwave, it can SERIOUSLY affect your connectivity. They all run on the same frequency, so there will be conflict.
- Why isn't my belkin wireless router working? I just bought a belkin wireless router (type wpa/wpa2) and I can't seem to get it to work. I activated it on my ipod as well as my iphone and laptop, but nothing is working. When I set it up, the light that said "modem" under it was red even though I connected it to the modem already.
- What's wrong with my router? I've disable dhcp servers and enabled Mac filters. I have the Mac addresses of all my devices but it's not allowing the third phone (a droid, other two are iphones) or the laptop to connect. Double checked the Mac addresses and all that, everything's right. Why won't these two devices connect? Is there a limit on amount of wireless devices that can connect?
- What's the difference between a cheap router and a good router? Just wanted to know the difference between a cheap router and an expensive router, I know that is a very broad question, I'm just a bit confused on how a router works. Does it increase my Internet speed on multiple devices? I get 50Mb per second, Well at least that's what I pay for. I have a PS3 two iPhones and a tablet, as well as a desktop PC that is wireless. Can anyone recommend an excellent router under $150
- Turn iPhone into as it were an internet router via USB? Is it possible to use your iPhone as if it were to be an internet router, using a computer's internet connection instead of 3G/4G data? I don't have a data plan, and usually I'm in a place without a hotspot nearby.
