What percentage is 650 of 833?

I have a big exam coming up and we have been given revision papers. I'm having a big problem with one of the questions (I'm allowed to use a calculator).
Here's the question:

A garden centre sells plants for hedges.
The table shows what they sold in one week.

Plants -- Number of plants sold -- Takings

Beech -- 125 -- £212.50
Leylandii -- 650 -- £2437.50
Privet -- 35 -- £45.50
Hawthorn -- 18 -- £23.40
Laurel -- 5 -- £32.25

Total -- 833 -- £2751.15

a) What percentage of the total number of plants sold was Leylandii?

b) What percentage of the total takings was Leylandii

c) Which is the cheaper plant, Beech or Privet? Explain.

Could someone please explain this to me thoroughly but also quite simply. Thank you so much and I'm very sorry that the layout looks quite confusing. Also, sorry for any speing mistakes as I'm writing on an iPhone.

A)
650/833 = 0.78
0.78(100) = 78%

b)
2437.50/2751.15 = 0.886
0.886(100) = 88.6%

c)
(total cost)/(number sold) = individual cost:
Beech = 212.50/125 = 1.70 pounds each
Privet = 45.50/35 = 1.3 pounds each

- .--
Privet is the cheaper of the two plants

You may want to study questions a and b thoroughly

Percentage formula: (individual/total)*100%
The total figure must always be bigger than the individual figure

a) (total leylandii sold/total plants sold) * 100%= (650/833) * 100 = 78.03%
b) (total leylandii taking/total takings) * 100% = (2437.50/2751.15)*100 = 88.60%
c) You want the price for each plant:
Total beech takings/total number of beech sold vs.total privet takings/total number of privet sold
Beech: (212.50/125) = £1.70 each
Privet: (45.50/35) = £1.30 each
Privets are cheaper.

Hope this helps

A) The total number of plants sold is 833. The total number of Leylandiis sold is 650.So, the percentage of Leylandiis sold would be 650/833, which is about 78%.

b) Your total takings are 2751.15, the total taking of Leylanddiis are 2437.50. The percentage of that would be 2437.50/2751.15, which is about 89%.

c) You have 125 Beech plants with a taking of 212.50. 212.50/125 = 1.70 being the cost per plant. You have 35 Privet plants with a taking of 45.50. 45.50/35 = 1.30 being the cost per plant. Privet would be the cheaper plant because its cost is the lowest per plant.
