Why is a $200 iPhone 5s $650?
So I got a new iPhone 5s and I got it via UPS. After I opened the package I saw the paper every package comes with that lists the prices and everything. I saw that the phone was $649.99. I don't know why because its not unlocked and I have a 2 year contract.
So you paid $650? Who is the provider that your in contract with?
That might just be the MSRP from Apple. Or what your replacement cost is if you break it.
Thats probably the phone cost, if you bought it on contract then the carrier pays most of it and you pay 199.

- Why do some iPhones cost $200 and some cost $900? Is there like data forever or something on these jacked up price or are you literally buying a $900 iPhone when you can only use it for Wi-Fi? And why does it cost so much less when you get it with a service plan like AT&T?
- It it a scam that i have to pay 650 dollars for an iphone 5S? Its a 32gb. So i put down 150 dollars on the phone and iv been paying 25 dollars each month ever since june of last year. And i'm suppose to pay the 25 dollars each month for 24 months which the total is: 750. Am i getting scammed? Cuz that phone is out dated. This is at consumer cellular. There they are charging 750 for the iPhone 6s. So why are they charging me that much money for my iphone 5s when i can get the iphone 6s the same price. Makes no sense.
