What rights do I have against a bouncer?
Was in a club with a friend when started talking friendly to a girl sat at the bar. Soon after a bouncer came over and asked me and my mate to move on, we both looked in confusion as we was talking and ordering drinks. The bouncer told us to move on and go to another bar, I did but mate carried on being friendly and chatting which led him being kicked out. (we later find out that the girl is the bouncers daughter) He came back in after telling the bouncer that he was just being friendly but soon after he was getting dragged out for talking to the girl again, enraged and not wanting to leave my friend I followed recording on my iphone of this unfair matter when half way down the stairs I get shouted at to stop recording.
Which I didn't respond to, before I know it i got multiple bouncers on me trying to grab my iphone, panicking I hold onto it thinking they are going to steal it (has dynamo's signature on the back so very protective of it) I have fallen down the last few steps hurting my back, and feel their hands round my hand. Around this point i'm trying to shout but one of the bouncers has put his thumb purposely on my wind pipe cutting of my air, due to this i blacked out and released my phone. Once i came to the guard refused to give it back till I entered my code to prove, once had done started going through it. Then they had the nerve to say i passed out because i was to drunk.
Through all of this I was None aggressive, didn't encourage anything. What are my rights?
You can sue.
Can't you take a hint. You have acted like a school boy with your phone and you deserved what you got.
Your rights-learn the lesson!
You can leave a private business the first time you are told to leave by an employee. You claim you were "None aggressive" (whatever that is) but you refused o stop recording when told to stop. You asked for it, you got it.
You can file a police report for battery
Don't go back to that club. Decent people have to go there too.
I'm sorry but you have done nothing wrong, go see solicitor they will tell you if you have a case or not or you could go to police station and file a complaint, but really it depends on if you have any proof and any witnesses (there's always the CCTV in the club) but obviously the police will need to access that
It's not about a bouncer, it's about a girl's dad and the fact that you refused to do what he asked. You should get copies of the doctor's report about your back, photos of the bruises etc. And then go to the police… You have a case here as you've been assaulted, but there won't be a single witness and the matter with the phone doesn't go in your favour as bouncers are within their rights to stop this in clubs.
Follow Lily B's advice. They may have the right to tell you to stop videoing, but when the issue relates to gathering evidence of a criminal offence it's a dubious bit of law. They certainly do not have the right to assault you to stop you. That is completely clear.
I really don't understand why you/your friend would go back and start chatting up the same girl once you'd been stopped. It's like asking for lots of hassle in big red letters. You crazy? Lots of bars, lots of girls - lots of ways not to get attacked by a gang of bouncers, therefore.
You had the right to be ejected from private property when you were ordered to leave. By staying you were trespassing. You have no case against the bar or the bouncer.

- What are my rights - went into shop, paid, but turns out I was mis sold the items? I went into a shop the other day with £350, spent the full amount on goods - paid via contactless app (iPhone). Turns out however that the payment was declined, but the cashier wasn't aware at the time and sent me on my way. A week has passed and a letter has been sent to my address stating that I haven't paid (this is how I found out) What are my rights to the goods? Obviously a good man will pay but is this their fault thus, without my resolution, they're out of pocket?
- I purchased a faulty iPhone 6 what are my rights? I purchased the iPhone 6 on contract from three via their tele-sales. It's got a hardware fault with the speaker making it nearly impossible to hear calls. It's 4 days old. I want a replacement not a repair. I also need the replacement As soon as possible
