What's 3G and 4G means(iphone)?
The 3G is the third generation iPhone but that was when the mobile internet network took off with the phone. Then the 3GS came out which was a little faster version on the mobile 3G internet network.
The 4G is the 4th generation iPhone but also the faster version of the 3G network= 4G, the iPhone 5 runs on the 4G network aswel.
They're just networks. 3G is everywhere, it's just a wireless data network. 4g on the other hand, you can only have on iPhone 5's. 4g is a faster network than 3G and you can only get it in big areas like city's. To use 3G or 4g, you must have a data plan, or it'll cost you quite a bit
3G & 4G are cellular data connections. The successors to 1G & 2G (GPRS & EDGE). Not just for iPhones, all smartphones.
@Carl: The iPhone 3GS was the 3rd iPhone. The 3G was the 2nd. The 3G in its name referred to the fact it was a 3G enabled iPhone not that it was the 3rd model.
Also the iPhone 4 was the 4th iPhone. It was never called 4G.
- Why do people act like having an iPhone means you're part of the cool kid club? I've gotten so much attitude about not having the latest iPhone 6, I don't even have a phone. I'm in grade 9, so that annoys me, because legit everyone is my grade has an iPhone except for me… But I don't get why people think they're so popular and cool if they have an iPhone!

When iPhone displays white screen that says "Hello" that means all the data and settings are gone, right? I did Settings > General > Reset and then I selected Erase All Content and Settings. I'm just checking because I don't want to put my personal information at risk.
