What's a better phone iPhone4s or htc 8x?

Me and my friend are thinking of swapping phones, I have a iPhone 4S 64gb and he has a htc 8x with the beats by dr dre which is better?

Pure phone, the iPhone 4S has more use, because of it's MUCH larger app store than Windows Phone 8. However, if you want something neat, and stands out, I would get the 8x. I also don't know if the 8X has expandeable storage, I would assume so though.

I've always owned an iphone, until the HTC came out, everybody seemed to like the HTC better than the iphones, so i got the HTC, and I HATE IT! So i sold it and bought the iphone 5, but everybody has different taste. I had the iphone 4s and it's an amazing phone! I believe the HTC 8x is a little bit cheaper than the iphone.,
