What's the best Wi-Fi Hot Spot?

I have a lot of things that need Wi-Fi to work or to be useful in anyway (Ipad, Ipod, Iphone, laptop… Dadadee.) However with the Ipad and I stuff I HATE the cellular data plan, the ones that charge you per GB or MB, I've heard of Wi-Fi hot spots that are cheaper and less irritating however, these hot spots (Boingo, Cricket Cross-wave etc.) have gotten terrible reviews. Are there any good Wi-Fi connectors/hot spots that aren't expensive, annoying or cost by the number of GB/MB? BTW can you get Wi-Fi connection from a desktop computer that's already connected to the internet? If so, how?

The person that pays the internet bill gets charged in data usage. Unless you use a public hotspot, thats the only way you are going to avoid those charges. Desktops usally run wired.stop being cheap and just get a hotspot or go use someone elses.

  • Why can't I use Wi-Fi on my iPhone as a hot spot? I can only use my phones network carrier data and 3G when I go to use my phones hotspot and not Wi-Fi. I used to be with BT Wi-Fi but can't afford it at the moment. For some reason I'm Able to still use BT Fons on my phone for Wi-Fi. But can't connect it to my laptop. Any help would be appreciated

  • MacBook goes to sleep mode when iPhone placed in one spot? I noticed a few months ago that every time that I place my iPhone 5 on the space to the left of my MacBook track pad, it automatically shuts off all connections to my MacBook, and the laptop goes into sleep mode. I'm wondering if anyone knows why, or if this has happened to anyone else. I just find it really weird since I have no other problems with the MacBook or the iPhone.
